The Newport Beach California temple box is the fourth variation of the temple boxes for the “small” temples. What make it unique are the open-air arches on its tower, its 7 entry arches, and its roof domes. All of these features presented challenges in its design and construction, but they set it apart from its sister-temples. It also features a separate compartment for celestial room. The Newport Beach temple box has 35 pieces, measures 3¾” x 8½” x 4⅛” with just under 16 in³ of storage, and is made of mostly white pine, with some birch plywood.
