The Orem Utah temple just became the twenty-second temple in Utah and the sixth in Utah county. My wife and I toured it during its recent open house and were surprised to meet some good friends (and fellow saints) on the stairs. We hadn’t seen them for about 15 years, so imagine our joy at finding them in the House of the Lord! This temple has many unique features, including 36 square windows (and 2 arched doors) on the first floor, and 24 arched windows on the upper floors and spire. It also features numerous tiers and a mix of symmetry (side to side) and asymmetry (front to back). The Orem Utah temple box includes 61 parts on the first floor, 23 parts on the upper floors, and 21 parts on its spire, for a total of 105 parts. Not including its platform, it measures 6¼” x 5¾” x 7¼” and has a box capacity of almost 27½ in³. My version of the Orem Utah temple is made of pine and birch plywood.
