The Dallas temple box was done as a request from a couple in my ward. He had purchased a Houston temple box that I had donated to a silent auction for the youth temple trip to Nauvoo. Because of its layout with the six spires exterior to the temple proper (before its addition), I had to utilize a platform in this one and attach the spires to it by wood screws (I normally just use wood glue). Its unique shape also challenged my mitering skills. It measures 6” x 10½” x 5¾” (platform), and has 23 in³ of storage, just to the height of its side walls. The Dallas temple box has 33 parts (and 6 screws) and is a combination of white pine and birch plywood.
