Houston Temple Box

The Houston temple box was my second creation.  It was constructed on a platform to allow for the front porch roof, one the few boxes with more than just the main structure of the actual temple.  Its back slides open to reveal a storage compartment of just over 14 in³.  The Houston temple box is 6 ½” x 5⅞” x 6¾” and made of 22 pieces of pine and birch plywood.  The outgoing members of the Houston Temple Presidency in 2012 were the first three recipients of a Houston temple box as an expression of appreciation for their service.
