The Kona temple was Hawaii’s second. It generally followed the pattern for the small temples, but had a number of features to make it unique. The most challenging part of making the Kona temple box involved getting the base of the spire to interface with three different levels of the roof, but somehow I managed to make it work. The Kona temple box is made up of 57 pieces, measures 3½” x 6¼” x 5½”, and has a box capacity of just over 14 in³. The Kona temple box is made of pine and birch plywood.
