The Bountiful Utah and Mt. Timpanogos Utah temples are sister temples. Like sisters, they look very similar to each other and only differ in their spires. I first made temple boxes of these temples in 2013. As with the real temples, I realized that it was time to update them. My skills have improved quite a bit over the past 6 years, and I wanted to “doll” them up a bit by adding windows. I also changed the proportions to make the temple boxes more representative of the real structures. These boxes are still unique with their side-by-side, dual compartments. They now measure 5¾” x 7¾” x 6”, and now have a total storage capacity of just under 22 in³. The exterior is all pine, with lots of end grain. The Bountiful temple box now has 52 parts.
